As your coach, I am committed to being fully present with you as you navigate challenges, goals, and growth. Through compassionate and firm guidance, I aim to help you cultivate your own full presence so you can take powerful actions with clarity of purpose and confidence.
-
One of my superpowers is discernment. You are a whole, complex person, and there’s nuance in your life. You may have conflicting parts that want different things. I aim to help you find the clarity you need to move forward with undivided self-compassion and confidence.
-
You may objectively be a powerful person in the world, but you may also be your own harshest critic. I’m here to hold a stance of non-judgement, pure compassion and allyship. If we choose to work together, I’m here for the ride-or-die commitment to ensure you feel supported.
-
I have deep roots in environmental, government, and corporate leadership, as a former non-profit founder and executive. I also have deep spiritual roots in a 27-year meditation and yoga discipline, with certifications in multiple coaching, counseling, and teaching methods. As your coach, I can help you navigate the highest levels of leadership, from both pragmatic and emotional perspectives.
-
I have a relentless strength and steadiness from experience helping hundreds of people through some of the most difficult moments of their lives, as a Crisis Support Counselor. As your coach, I can confidently say: I’ve got you.
Welcome!
Here’s a bit about me.
For 20 years I’ve worked as a climate leader, behavior change expert, and coach. As an environmental scientist, I lived and worked in the Canadian High Arctic Circle, and co-founded three environmental non-profit organizations that were active in 15 countries.
I spoke about my arctic work in my first TEDx talk.
And I spoke about my climate leadership coaching in a Stanford University keynote address.
I was recruited by Apple, Inc. to design behavior change experiences for global employees and enterprise partners. I’ve served on 7 different teams at Apple for 13 years—including as the Worldwide Environment Lead for Apple’s Business Development team, and as Worldwide Government Lead for Apple’s B2B Training and Programs team.
I was trained by Al Gore as a Climate Leader and I’ve helped him train and coach new Climate Leaders around the world—including at the first global 10,000-person Climate Reality Leadership Corps in 2020.
I have a Master’s Degree in Environmental Studies from Dalhousie University, and an Honors Undergraduate Degree focused on Biology, World Literature, and Law from the University of British Columbia. I have Executive MBA leadership certification from the Stanford Graduate School of Business. And I’m working toward a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology.
Here’s a bit about my coaching background
I have 20 years of leadership and coaching experience. I’m trained in Gestalt Coaching, and I bring a unique leadership perspective with the Healthy Power Coaching framework I created and tested at the Stanford Graduate School of Business.
I’m currently completing a Gestalt Coaching Certification from the Gestalt Institute of Cleveland, and working toward an International Coaching Federation Certification in ICF Coaching Levels I and II. As a coach, I draw from multiple perspectives, including:
Gestalt Coaching Stance - focused on accessing one’s true self and clarity of purpose through experiencing the present moment.
I’m a Crisis Support Counselor, trained by Alameda County Crisis Support Services and the 988 National Suicide Prevention hotline.
I’m a Certified Mindfulness Meditation Teacher, trained by Tara Brach and Jack Kornfield through Sounds True and the University of California’s Greater Good Science Center.
My training is trauma-informed and taught in part by Resmaa Menakem’s work on dismantling racism.
I have training from Dr. Richard Schwartz in Internal Family Systems (IFS), and from Steffi Bednarek and David Kitchings in Systems Wayfinding (IFS for Social Transformation).
I have training from Kazu Haga in Kingian Nonviolence and Fierce Vulnerability.
As a Certified Yoga Teacher, I bring a coaching perspective of embodied awareness to help my clients discover their own wisdom and clarity through deepening their own embodied self-awareness.
